Our family moved to San Francisco bay area, California in 1965. I entered adolescence during a culturally vibrant and rich time, in a very energetic place. My creative interests were fueled by all of these circumstances and I experimented with poster art, wood carving and hand-drawn animated 16mm film. All of it very naive, although my next door (and much older) neighbor was an art student and I learned much from her.
